Any idea when 2.4.7 will be released?
There are quite a few bug fixes.
Users are reporting bugs to me that are fixed just not released.
Thanks

They work well for me, am I missing something?

The CUI sensors use the "kit" (frameless) mounting method.
This mounting method lets you save money when your motor
(or something) has a nice shaft sticking out the back, and
a flat place to mount things.
If you're ever looking for a "kit" (frameless) encoder, I have
had good luck with USDigi

Jon,
the problem is that the delay between reality and the Z domain of the
encoder is variable, so good tuning will be
something somewhere in fairyland unless you lower the bandwidth of your
drive right down so that the delay jitter
becomes insignificant in respect to the bandwidth of your system.
Jon,
I am very glad that you are doing this, I have wanted to do it
myself for a long time. I have always felt that the CUI encoders,
while being admirably cheap, are not as good as an optical
encoder, but I have had no data to support my belief. Maybe you
are about to come up with some.

Jon,
I see exactly this in yr pictures: (from the faq on their website)
9. How does angular acceleration affect pulses and error? Angular
acceleration does not cause missing pulses. But it does cause some lag in
position, proportional to acceleration and T^2. (with T= 100, 50, 25, 13 µs

I am seing the same thing, after running emc & your shm_tester a
couple of times, ipcs gets some cruft, and I can not start emc again
... shm_tester segfaults

Hello Guys,
I probably found the problem, why you sometimes have to call halcmd as
root to get emc started again. But I don't have a bugfix up to now.
It seems like the complete hal shared memory is not given back to the os
when emc is closed and my shm_tester is still running. For that reason y
