Hi everyone,
I'm trying to locate a source or sources for a very low profile flyback
transformer. The ideal part would be:
1. As small as possible
2. A turns ratio of approx 177 - 7
3. A secondary rated for 200mA
4. A primary rated for 20mA
5. Double Insulation between primary and
Allen,
I agree with your comments. Hi-pot is not, and never was, a reliable
safe/unsafe test. It merely finds component and/or finished goods
whose processes may have crept to non-compliance. For example, xfmrs
whose internal creepage/clearance distances between windings have crept

Dear John
My intention was simply to remind people (if any reminding was needed) that
achieving a presumption of conformity does not necessarily mean complying
with the EMC Directive.

Hi Folks
The concept of hipotting equipment in the field after repairs may
theoretically be a good one - but is fraught with both practical and safety
problems.
For example:
a) Some equipment needs special hipot equipment or equipment settings, e.g.
if it has large filter capacitors on the

1) Speaker alone with built-in amplifer is classifed as associated euipment.
If there is no antenna connector, it is not necessary to do the immunity test.
2) Harmonic and Flicker are mandatory since 2001-01-01
3) In your DOC, you still have to mention those mandatory standards.
If products required to have 100% production-line tests (such as Hi-pot and
Ground Continuity tests), then I required that tests should be made in the
field after repairs. I think it at least benefits checking out the minimum
safety constructions are still functioning well.
