Peter,
There is no specific DC branch line or dc mains supply wire sizes called up
for Australia or NZ. I believe that providing you use the ac wire sizes
specified in AS/NZS 3008.1.1 as a guide and calculate an equivalent wire
size for dc based upon the ac wire sizes you can not go far wrong.
Thank you, John.
I've just tried both my local university library and the
Library of Congress. Some ERA documents are there, but not
the magical 69-30.
Having the organization's full name goes a long way.

Hello Richard
The product is a demonstration fixture to be used by our distributors in the
sales process and will not be sold to the general publicI should have been
a little clearer when I said "Do some internal testing" The plan is to
evaluate the product to IEC60065 and complete a CB test

One possible reason (not a rational) ...
The title page of EN60601-1-2:2001 indicates it is the same as
IEC60601-1-2:2001. I would expect an IEC standard to be written to accommodate
international uses of a product.

ERA Report 69-30 appears to exist in the shadows of other
documents. It is referenced by a number of standards for
wiring rules, but the document itself does not show up in
standards suppliers or general web searches. Perhaps it's
too old to be in current publication.
Can someone help me find
Just dawned on me.
There is another example of class I and class II insulations in
parallel that may be sitting on your desk at the moment. I've seen
electronic systems that had primary wiring from the AC input module that was
routed along grounded SELV circuits. I presume the sa

How about the following as a scenario?
We have small mixing desk powered by 12V. We purchase an already safety

The mixer and power supply were tested as a system by us for EMC compliance.

John,
Further to my earlier Email, and those from others, you need to consider how
you are going to supply your product and any spare parts.
As I mentioned earlier and as has been expanded upon by others, if you are
going to supply the complete product in a single box then that will need to be

Neil,
The rules for participating in standardisation vary from country to country.
In the UK, the requirement is not that a person is 'recommended' by a trade
organisation but that they 'represent' a particular industrial sector: the way
this is achieved is by representing a trade association. I

The instructions supplied with your product should state that the product must
only be used with the supplied power cube.
