I also have a question about 'dated references', but my example will be from
EN60601-1-2:2001 (the product family EMC standard for medical devices).
Clause 36.201.1.a states that equipment shall be classified in accordance with
"CISPR 11" (exceptions are noted elsewhere in the standard).
