works against it. However it is typical to test it in application

I am not sure what type of product you are dealing with, but I believe the
following to be generally true.
1) Since the UL Mark will not appear on the product which is modified, you are
most likely not violating any agreements with UL by modifying it.
2a) Yes you can build
It's not only states. Some counties and cities require listing or field
labeling when the state doesn't.

I find myself in need of roll of plastic tape that meets v1 or better
flammability and has a UL Approved adhesive. The tape should be at
