Simply shipping the wrong cord types to certain locations is actually
prohibited, and in general, including incorrect types could be viewed as

My understanding is that current standard for China is "YY 0505-2012", which
is based on 2nd edition IEC 60601-1-2:2004.
Europe and North America currently require compliance with (versions of) 3rd
edition IEC60601-1-2:2007, and will be moving to 4th edition in 2018.

The regulation takes effect January 1, 2011.
China will establich a WEEE processing fund. Manufacturers, importers, or
agents have obligation to pay into the fund. (Article 7)

this is the type they use in China. In addition to this type (two poles with
ground), "two poles (two parallel plates, equal length)" and ""two poles dual
use (two round pins, I believe)" are the types listed in the GB 100
The most common grounded plug type in China is the flat plug similar to the
Australian plug. For Class II plugs (non-grounded), there is a plug
configuration very similar to the U.S. and Japanese two bladed plug. The
Chinese standards are GB 1002 and GB 2099.1 and it covers both configurations
relevant;
