FYI: I played some more with it today and it all works fine once you code your
gcode probe file. I am mapping a surface as I am writing this.
Still wondering about the other question: Would it be possible to map the
surface and mill/engrave it in one file.

Here what I did for my X2 control card which requires 0Hz to 2kHz for 0v to
10V output...
"...used pwmgen output to clock a flip flop, send the flip flop output to
the parallel port pin AND to the input of a NOT. Link the NOT output back
to flipflop data pin. This gives a really nice square
