I tried the pcisetup program tonight in the hope of getting the DB25-1205 breakout board inputs working on my CNC router with the D525MW motherboard. No luck. I did the dmesg stuff and it reported the same parallel port location as the example posted recently to this email list. The program

Honestly I had a RF31 round column mill drill for quite awhile. Initially I bought it to help me convert my RF45 I CNC'd and honestly I WISH I had never sold it. It is a GREAT little benchtop mill and there are a bunch of folks who have CNC'd them with good results. There are of course some issues

I'm thinking about converting my jet jmd-18 mill/drill with round column, but thing that worries me the most right from the start is, if Z axis would be accurate enough. There is one solution by reversing quill spring so it is forcing axis all the time downwards and this way you get rid of back

Dear LinuxCNC users, I would like to announce hf2gcode, which is a hershey font to g-code tracer. You can find hf2gcode in the following link: https://github.com/Andy1978/hf2gcode Here is a generated sample g-code: http://pastebin.com/DHMNg8ZF I have written this primary for its use on an AVR mic

Why not flip the boring bar upside down and bore on the back side of the hole? That way you can set the X axis the same way you do for regular turning. I've used 2 flute end mills with one broken corner as boring tools many times. Works quite well. :-) For burning out the remains of plastic thr

I have mentioned it before: Atom MB based on 425 and 525 processor chips have the EPP problems that can be fixed with Jon Elson's program. The newer Intel boards 2500, 2700 and now 2800 do not have this problem. We are using the 2800 Intel board with or without Mesa 6i25 cards almost exclusively
