Dear All,
Thanks for the replies. I was musing to myself today at work re. problem
and was wondering if I could remember if problem was there before I hooked
up the UPS. I'm not sure so I had decided to take it out of the supply
chain and see what happens.

Hi,
I've managed to get my joypad working with Axis after reading the Wiki
(thanks to all who posted) and a bit of fiddling. I've got three maximum
jog speeds selectable via the joypad buttons and want to display the jog
speed of each axis by means of a pyVCP bar widget. Is it possible to

Hi,
This is a bit off topic - what type of breakout boards are people using with
their MESA FPGA cards? Are they home built or bought in ? I have a 7i43 and
it looks like I may have to build myself a BoB but before I do, I thought I
ask to save a DoooH moment later.

Hi Everyone,
I can report that EMC2.4.6 release has fixed the parallel port issue on my
D510MO + MESA 7i43 system.
Many thanks to those who worked on this issue.

Thanks everyone for your help
Andy, not quite sure what you mean " Does it do this even if you specify a

Thanks to everyone for their help. I now have full control of my X2 spindle
and coolant supply via EMC. Spindle soft starts and is calibrated from
600rpm to 4000rpm + I have lost my fear (to some extent) of changing my .hal
file.

Is this mail getting through to the list?
After some experimentation, I've determined that my spindle card needs a
variable frequency square wave sending to it which ranges from 300Hz to
around 1800Hz. I had some success with linking siggen and near to give a
"square" digital output - siggen.0
Rob,
I'd be interested. I am planning to go to the Exhibition probably on the
Saturday.

Hi Everyone,
Is this mail getting through??
I have an X2 mill with a spindle controller which converts pulses to
voltage output. I'm planning to use pwmgen in PDM mode to generate the
pulses. Is there a way to ramp up the pulse density (frequency) to
allow a soft spindle start?
