On my Hardinge CHNC Lathe I have a pneumatic pump. Air on for 30 seconds air off for 2 minutes or so. I used classicladder and any time an axis is in motion I start the cycle. It only took one rung of ladder. I'll post it on the forum when I go out there to the machine. The timers on classiclad

I would suggest that you try ClassicLadder. It is a little overkill for just the lube pump but once you get the hang of it, you will probably find lots of other uses for it. For instance on my lathe it takes a second or two after they are enabled for the drives to signal back that they are ok.

My KMB-1 M/X has one-shot pneumatic lube. The timer you describe fires the solenoid valve (I've never checked the exact timing) and runs when the servos are activated. The duty cycle is dictated by the profile of the cam on the timer. The oil flow rate can be controlled by the the air pressure

[Emc-users] Machine Lubrication via EMC

While dissecting the Hurco mill that I'm converting to EMC, I've realized I don't know how lubrication is handled in CNC machines. This one has an auto oiler (pneumatic driven), and a pump in the machine base that evidently returns oil to the oiler unit. There was a mechanical timer in the ca
