WWEEE - Yes the var file is writable. It helps a LOT when the ini file
specifies the CORRECT var file. The ini file had a full path to the var
file. Too bad the path was to a different directory. That directory is not
writable from the machine account. ugh

I followed your instructions and it did in fact give me X20 Y20 Z20.

latest git pull -
I set the coordinates of the G54... offsets using the touch off button.
The values are remembered until I shut the control off.
There are values in each offset prior to touching off to set zero. When I
restart the control the values are reset to the prior values.
