If you're using screen, it will take care of the buffering in place of the terminal. Ctrl-A [ to enter hilight mode, from where you can move around the buffer using arrow keys and pgup / pgdn. Escape to go back to input mode, or Enter to mark selection start and end points, with Ctrl-A ] to paste.

I'm using xmodmap to remap the caps-lock and windows keys .. after my last update of entrance, the .Xmodmap file is no longer being loaded. I suspect this is a result of entrance no longer starting the shell scripts like it used to.. I have an .xinitrc and an .xsession, one a symlink to the other
