oh i forgot to mention, i'm running e17 under ubuntu using the pkg-e
repo packages. And i run kdeinit in the background. Just kdeinit, not
the rest of the kde shell.

desktop. But till then, it hasn't mounted them as no entry is provided
in /media/ That link shows up when i open the USB device in the
e17 file manager. And it's unmounted the moment e17 file manager is
closed.

yes, if you unload a configuration module you do not have a gui to
alter you

settings will be saved, isn't it ? For example if I unload
"configuration-transitions" E17 will use my transitions settings and not
the default, isn't it ? So
