Anyone have idea how do I fix my hald which is reporting my hard disk drive as
the removeable drive?

Yes, like I mentioned, I had created a desktop which runs the script, I am able
to execute the desktop from my IBar, but it won't work from the startup
(.order) perhaps the script run prior the creation of the said icon.

Expedite wouldn't get past autogen.sh. Error something like CXX defined but
no source? Adding AC_PROG_CXX to configure.in cured problem.

Strange, but I don't think deleting your .e folder is the solution...
Did you try the alternative solution ?
Try to put this in your .bashrc :

I use Shift+Win+Left/Right/Up/Down to navigate desktops.
I want HAL running with e17, so I can do removable drive automounting
magic-ness on my HTPC box.
However, I find that with HAL and D-Bus running, I these modifiers don't work.

ubuntu 7.10) and i get a message that the file already exist (creating
the simbolic link). restarted e and nothing happens.
Also tried copying the menus xdg created for gnome in the e folder, and
no progress either.
