Any particular place you're starting the Desktop Entry Editor? I start it
from Settings->Apps->Personal Application Launchers->Add, but I vaguely
remember seeing it in other places.
It works for me, but I do have the same problem as you with the Select an
Executable. It doesn't populate the ap

Ok, I managed to track all crashes down to attempts to draw icons in
the systray. As far as I knew I didn't have one. I tried adding one to
the shelf and got an error message telling me there already was one
and you can only have one.
A bit more hunting through settings and i found there was a sys
libs:1.9.4
e18.8
Neither adding app via Select an Executable,(the Application line

Tried adding app from /~/bin /usr/bin but same result.
