Hi all,

Is there currently any way to get an on-screen keyboard on the lock

Is this something which needs work or is there a setting somewhere that

Bingo! I didn't think to check .cache for E-stuff when I rebuilt the
configuration. Many thanks for taking the time to respond.

Computer Programmer,
While running a slightly older version of EFL/E on Fedora 35, All of the
application icons suddenly disappeared from ibar, task bar and menus.
The Enlightenment icons were fine. Rather than mess with it, I decided
to update and installed EFL 1.26.2 and E 0.25.3 (default build
parameters) after

Did you accept the default configuration for hardware acceleration of
the compositing functions during the initial setup? If you did, log in
with the default window manager and delete the .enlightenment
directory from the home directory (note the initial period; it is a
hidden file).

You should have a Mouse and Touchpad utility. In Fedora, it is on the

menu. Left-click the background image. The System Settings panel is a

Re: fun and games with GDM TryExec
I set up a script as you suggested and referenced it in TryExec with
an explicit path. Enlightenment disappears from the menu and the script
does NOT appear to execute.
I noticed that gnome.desktop references gnome-session without a path

Thanks for the reply. I removed the TryExec line from the
Enlightenment.desktop file and then E came up without any problems.
Before doing this, I installed XFCE to see if that might initialize

cannot get this to work. I think I have all of the files in the right

What makes your theme so hard to move?
I have never formalized it as a theme; it is just a lot of new and
modified files in both /usr/share/enlightenment and ~/.enlightenment.

I think that this is new for 0.16.8. Is it possible to use this name

may be a major headache. If so, I may just go to E17.

I think that edge flipping of desktops is one of Enlightenment's best

Does anyone know how to get Firefox and Thunderbird to invoke one
another on links? I discovered that you can get Thunderbird to invoke
the browser of your choice on a URL link in a message by creating a
script called LaunchBrowser in the same directory as the Thunderbird
executable.
I installed the LiteStep shell on Windows so that I could have multiple
desktops with edge flipping. I certainly would not use a desktop without
the feature! Coming up with a default configuration which is easy to use
initially is a worthy effort but it is vital that users be able to
