I have seen this problem before, and found that my problem was a font not being installed, or found. Is it possible that the cache files held improper home directory path info (since you copied your .enlightenment dir from another system? same username? same home directory path?) or that by putti

Thank you for pointing out that thread in the Gentoo forums. I had searched google but didn't come up with anything. I tried the general fix but it did change anything for my theme, BrushedMetal-Tigert. BlueSteel, however, did work and those menus are fine. The basic fix was to put the full path
