I have tested unconfiguring and disabled the Disable Update GP setting, and
until this latest 60.2.2 version, I assumed that it would work. Looking at
the about Firefox showing that it was checking.
Yesterday I started to get a notification that the new update had to be
downloaded. About Firefox
I think I have a similar issue; a me too perhaps. I hadn't looked into it
much at all because I had mucked around with various about:config
settings.
My scenario is this: I always open FF ESR on my second monitor in maximized
not full screen. Every new window opened goes to the first primary
I never thought much about it, but, I've noticed a random freeze up a
couple times a day that lasts about 30 seconds or so. I'm currently using
ESR 45.8.0, so I don't think it's anything new that just showed up in 52x.

couple preferences that assist with using the users login to authenticate
on the sites. If it's not working, it prompts the user to authenticate.
Some of these might not be required possibly depending on how the page is
My understanding is that the two are equal *only* when the version number
is the same, but not literally; there are some differences.

I'm looking for a preference or other to silence this offer in the ESR
version. We do not have the resources to field questions about this nor do
we allow such use. I use CCK2 and am in search of the preference name if
it's that easy.

persona, and plugins between a variety including Linux RR and Windows ESR
just fine.
