Horizon Electronics has a permanent fix for the EOS 5 mode dial. They
replace the plastic pins with metal, and the lock button is disabled.
The cost of the modification is $120.00. They will also convert the A2/A2E
firmware (for $20.00) so a metering scale is displayed while you are in

Hi All,
I know that this A2/A2e/5 Command dial issue has been
beaten to death but there seems to be some question as
to the fix. Some posters elsewhere have suggested
that Canon now has a metal(?) dial setup which "feels"
better than the original plastic based mechanicals for
the switchgear. Do

I have used ACD See 3 and it was nothing more then an image viewer. I also
have THumbsplus 4.5, and it creates web pages very easily, contract sheets
etc. and have database capability. ACDSee was not very good with those,
seems like they added quite a few, but did you actually compare latest

Hey all,
I was on this list a few months ago, asked a-lot of
questions. And now I'm back... :) with even more

switch from Pentax to Canon, well now I've finally
(almost at least) got the financing to facilitate a
complete switch into t
My vote goes to ACDSee 4.1
Its simply the fastest graphic engine available, you can directly browse
from CD albums as well.. Its far more advanced than Thumbs Plus!

There is a really good solution out there called Digital Pro. It was

I download the raw files through a CF card reader on my
desktop (or use the PCMCIA adapter and download onto the
laptop), and then use Bibble to convert to tiff. Another
Hi,
I will be in San Francisco end of March until mid April on a business
trip. Any good camera stores in the area and prehaps a place to get
some Velvia / E100S? I would probably be staying around Market and 3rd
street.
Also if anyone knows of a good place to get E-6 done before a trans-
