Hello, I'm taking a few days on the Right Coast and out of the USA, and wondered if you wonderful people might have a camera store reco for me. As I understand it, the US dollar is doing pretty well against the Canadian, so I'm looking for a "B&H-style" shop that can help me unload the USD that

2001-09-05 Thread C. C. Casparian
Hello, I posted a note last week about how my 28-105 broke down after an impact (elements and zoom are fine but focus motor is no longer connected to element-barrel). Thanks to a response from a fellow lister, I learned that this lens has a true Achilles heel: delicate plastic tabs (which bro

As a preemptory note, let me say that I have successfully tested other lenses on my 1N now, and can definitely state that the failing variable is the 28-105 USM lens and not the body. Thanks again, CCC -Original Message- From: C. C. Casparian [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent

Hello, I've been following the comments about this proposed lens a bit but I have a question I don't think has been addressed. (If it has, please forgive the clutter). My question is: if the rule of thumb holds true for wide-angles, i.e., that you can safely handhold down to a shutter speed

Paul, The wonderful thing is ... a 3Megapix image can be download to a Fuji Frontier machine and make traditional glossy or matte paper prints. Usually, the paper is the Fuji Crystal Paper. Ask labs near by if they provide that service. You could go online, too. D30 may be a little over

Bruce, Most people shooting the tricky situation is to use TS-E. To the unfortunate ones without TS-E lenses, try tilt your viewing angle and use a small aperture. i.e F16. Since the lenses is tilt, the DOF is at an angle which may bring the distance mountain clearer. I use camera allows t

In order for me to test some features with the flash, I am trying to find a way to adjust the 2K so that it will think it does have film. 2K has the built-in feature that prevents the shutter from triggering shoots when there is no film. I loaded empty film can with ISO, it didn't work. It
