Reading this thread, we have possibly three types? "sort", "comparison",
"in-text search"?
I'm trying to remember, and fail. Was "sort" and "non-sort" different
other than default options?

We had discussed that. Would it make sense to specify that coll.compare
would actually be a bound method? That's one of the things that had a
little "oh, no good any way we do this", as Erik wouldn't know of any
example we'd follow by defining a method on an object to be bound by
default.

I for one am very much against setting inferValues to true by default.
That's just obfuscating i18n bugs, and I think we should design our APIs
so that it's easy to get it right. Shooting yourself in the foot should
be hard, if at all possible.
