It's a BroadComm BCM4306 802.11 b/g built-in. I guess that's probably

Anne's new HP laptop has a built-in IntelPro/Wireless 2200 which is a
boat anchor under Linux.
I'm very impressed with the state of Linux these days and am very happy
with my new Ubuntu install.
I recently purchased a Dell laptop (Inspiron 1150 for the google
crawler) and tonight took the plunge to scrap my Windows install and
start fresh. I partitioned Win to take up the first half and

Do you expect us to believe that? You spend *way* more than $500/year
on the latest Apple stuff, Mr. Three-iPods-an-iBook-and-a-G5-Tower.

I installed it for Bend "by popular demand", but I wouldn't call it my favorite

Apple's totally encouraging developers to be data-fork only, and Cocoa
is entirely standard unix. Sounds like you're working on something

Ralph,
I attended the Corvallis MVLug meeting last night where I met Bob for
the first time.
At the meeting, John Secrest was asking of anyone could do a

I remember from quite some time ago, you were using Gimp to edit PDFs
for an Euglug flyer.

I went to the MWVLUG's (aka Corvallis LUG) monthly meeting last night.
John Sechrest presented the Drupal content management system.
Drupal is very cool. Both MWVLUG and BendUG are using Drupal for
their web sites. I wonder if we should succumb to peer pressure and
install it on www.euglug.org t
