Hey hey Eugene area Lego'ers: watch out for that Lunar Logic team -- they've been quietly bricking up a storm over there from what I understand... I haven't been in their lab for about 6 months, but know enough to be scared :)

I am running the FLL event in Corvallis. We are doing it the
first weekend in December. So there is an opportunity for
learning from our crew and sharing of resources.
The key for Eugene to pull it off is to have someone (preferably a
group of 3) take on ownership of making the event happen.
I served as an assistant coach for a FLL team two years ago, it was a
blast! The young people have a lot of fun getting their robots to
complete a course on a table about the size of a ping-pong table. It's
amazing to see the creative differences between the different teams'
robots.
