There are federal stimulus grants that will be available for broadband
deployment-related activities. By statute, all of the funds have to be
awarded between release of the National Broadband Plan by the FCC,
currently scheduled for March 17, and the end of fiscal year 2010.

At some point we have to trust someone.
At one point in the 90's almost all the dialup modems were owned by MCI
which got part of it's start in government contracts. Out of that Sprint was
born.
I'd fear the city council's decision to cameraify downtown and wire those
buffers directly to EPD more
