Thanks, Mike. It will have to be next week. We have a German exchange
student staying with us who is leaving Saturday, and I want to spend as
much time with him as possible until then.
See you next week.

What PCI Wireless NIC would you (or anyone else) recommend for FC5 then? My preference, since I am a lazy user, would be a plug-and-play card.Regards, JimMike Cherba <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: On Tue, 2006-04-11 at 19:32 -0700, Jim Darrough wrote:> 00:09.0 Network controller: Texas Instruments ACX
Thanks. I'll try that next time.
But the real issue for me is what wireless PCI card I should put in the
FC5 box that is recognized natively.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Try typing the full path to the command as a normal user. For me
it's /usr/sbin/lspci . That works muy bueno.
Otherwise, "cat /proc/pci" works fine too.
That be it,

Hey folks! I found out even as SU you cannot run lspci on a Fedora box, at least not this one. I had to log in as root to use it, and the output is listed below. I did want to thank Mike Cherba for his help however. Thanks Mike!lspci output follows:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# lspci00:00.0 Host
Hope it helps. Once you download it and run it, please post the output
to the list. We should be able to tell you a lot more about what you
need to do to get it working then.

Hi Jamie. lspci does not function in Fedora 5.A couple folks suggested
it, but Red Hat has apparently decided not to include that function.
I am now looking to see what Wireless PCI cards may be directly
supported. I think

For the most help post on a Monday morning. I bet more people on
the list check their mail from work as much or more than from
home.

Can someone email me and tell me how to find the PCI card's info from a
terminal? I would be willing to purchase lunch for anyone able to help
me. My box is very small, and I can bring it to you. I will supply the
