Hi All,
I'm finalizing our translation for the OPAC (Bootstrap), and I had a
question about the wrapper format in this
file: Open-ILS/src/templates-bootstrap/opac/parts/myopac/base.tt2
Here's an example:
{children => 3, parent => "parent",url => "circs", text => l(" [_1]Items
Checked Out",
Hello Mark, just to add to the answers so far. There is a feature called
hold stalling that was intended to address this... but it has downsides in
its pre 3.8 release state. Hold stalling turns off opportunistic capture
for a certain period after a hold is placed, to try and make sure that the
I have a memory of that message being caused by the hold feature that loops
through item circ locations in sequence for targeting.. If it tries all
possible locations a certain number of times, and an item isn't captured it
cancels the hold with that message. Feature may be called target loops?
Yes. I’m confident it’s basically a “free-for-all” at this point. That will
change as more and more interfaces are developed into Angular so that we can
utilize the angular print template management. There is a specific permission
for that one.

I can do it from Circ-2…

Hello,
C/W MARS also uses Parts.

Erica,
That makes good and somewhat “tragic” sense.

Good Morning Ruth,
Unless I'm overlooking a permission, I believe you're correct. I think it
is only tied to permission apply_workstation_setting, which also allows
staff to set other workstation preferences.

Benjamin,
We also use parts in Evergreen Indiana. This is not currently incorporated
into the Serials Module AFAIK. We do have some libraries using that module,
and then they individually add the parts from the staff catalog. There is
currently development in process that addresses some of
While I'm not sure if there is some mechanism in the serials module that
makes things different (we don't use it), we utilize monograph parts BIG
TIME in our consortium. It gets the job done re: holds, but it's rough
making sure everything has parts because if ONE holding has parts, it
really only
Elizabeth,
I believe that permission has to do with the angular print management that is
in its nascent form as additional interfaces are converted/rewritten to/in
Angular.

If I understand it correctly, there's no mechanism to put a hold on a specific
volume of a serial with the holds interface. Is this something you encounter or
have a workaround for? Do you use monographic parts? Don't allow holds on
serials? Have staff add copy level holds?

Hi Ruth
Is that ADMIN_PRINT_TEMPLATE? I've edited print templates with CircClerk
permissions. We have some custom cataloging permissions but was able to edit
with our lowest cataloging permissions as well.

Do any of you know of a permission related to print management from the
workstation settings page. Or, is it just a free for all to all staff (with
access to the client)?
