A feature I would like to have is the ability to control the server
status on the POP server. I.E. to keep messages and delete them after a
fixed date, and/or to delete them on demand, a feature which Eudora does
perfectly in W$.
Cheers

Hi Simone,
I also had this problem, first experienced around Evolution 0.99. I
believe it started when I was deleting many emails one after the other
(pressing the trashcan icon over and over again), although this is just
a hunch and hard to back up with proof.
In my situation several of my oldes

Just thought I would set the record straight:
Hi Ben, i solved the problem!
Thanx to your input i checked for the file mbox.ibex.index in
home/evolution/local/inbox.
This file is probably the index of files presents in inbox folder, i
thought (even with some risks...) that if the application is smart
enough and don't see anymore the index file
mbox.ev-summary is the index of messages in the mbox file, the
mbox.ibex.* files are word-indexes so that searching on "Body contains"
are fast.

hi,
i just wanted to ask if anybody else noticed the same problem:
it seems that the vfolders doesn't update the view until you quit
evolution.
i made a vfolder based on labels and imaps. after changing the label the
messages are still visible in that vfolder. or am i doing something

First, many thanks for repairing the synchronization feature for
Visors.
Next, how do I synchronize the Addressbook? All of the conduits listed
below are enabled, and scheduled for synchronization, but the
AddressBook will not synchronize. I have d
Hello Evolution Hackers!
While this has never been formally announced, Ximian requires contributors to the Evolution code base to assign their copyrights for all non-trivial changes to the code. This is so we can enforce the copyright in the program as the owner of the entire program, or use
A current work around is to set your account to "Leave messages on
server" and then when you want to delete them you de-select "Leave
messages on server". Then click on Send/Receive to delete the messages,
then re-select "Leave messages on server".
It takes some time but it works now :)

You could try just rm'ing the mbox.ev-summary file in the affected
mailbox (somewhere under ~/evolution/local/*/).
There was a recurring bug with this that should've been fixed after
about 1.0.5 (or maybe 1.0.8) or definetly in 1.2.x.

This is so that rules like 'unread mail' are practical (otherwise you

I've recently been trialling Evolution 1.2 connecting to an Exchange 5.5

In a perfect world, but Ximian's "stable" is still potato.
