Hi Ben, i solved the problem! Thanx to your input i checked for the file mbox.ibex.index in home/evolution/local/inbox. This file is probably the index of files presents in inbox folder, i thought (even with some risks...) that if the application is smart enough and don't see anymore the index file

A current work around is to set your account to "Leave messages on server" and then when you want to delete them you de-select "Leave messages on server". Then click on Send/Receive to delete the messages, then re-select "Leave messages on server". It takes some time but it works now :) Perhaps p
