it seems like kde stores the position and size of a window
in combination with his internal name or something like that.
i don't know exactly.
so my "Store Settings" - hint won't work for long...
First time you click "Send / Receive" the statuswindow

just for info if anyone beside me uses evo under kde
and wants to save window-positions...
when the window is open and has the position and size
you want... just right-click on the window-top-bar
and select "Store Settings"
from this moment on the window a
morning :)
no i don't have the window-placement set on "smart".
it was set to random.
to the size-"problem"> the main window isn't the problem.
it's just as you told. it remembers the size and position
and starts maximized.

I use Evolution under KDE also, and it does save the window size (see
below for position comments). Evolu
These are all bugs in the window-manager that you are using.

the "problem" is, that whenever i click for new mail the
composerwindow opens but is very small. i must maximize
it to work with it. thats not really a proble
