I expect that messages from this list will digest into groups of more
that 3-5, Something like one per day or 25-30 meets my needs. What I'm
getting is almost "immediate" messaging.
Have I set some options wrong?

set the clock on their computers, I get new messages buried deep in my
list of messages and have to page through to find them.
