Which is what I was point out all along in my previous mails Kent. You'll have
to use
Instead of putting a custom format, why don't you change the comma separator
and decimal separator to space and comma respectively?

Hi guys!
I have a quick question regarding formats.
Hi sam,
Thanks for your response. The reason I am interested in
the custom format is that i have two langauges within the same
workbook and the advice you provided affects the entire workbook. If
you could provide with the custom format instructions; it would be
greatly appreciated.
One way is to use # ### ### ### ###\,00
The catch is that you'll have to write your numbers in 00s. So to convert
one thousand in this format 1 000,00
you will have to write one hundred thousand 10

The OP had requested for the decimal separator to be a comma (,)

If you use ,00 in the format, it will always show as ,00 EVEN if the
original number has a decimal place. Like for example 1000.23 will show as
1000,00 with your format.
