Create a new receive connector, lock it down to the internal IP's that it will
accept anonymous connections from, and allow anonymous connections, this will
work.
We do this all the time to allow scanners and such like to email.

Is there a way to disable the baked-in Exchange 2013 diagnostic logging?
I see google-fu around relocation of it, but couldn’t find an off switch. My
concern relates to image-based backups of these systems and having to seed an
extra semi-useless 1GB+ per day for things like this from a default

Past month has been unusually high, both blocked and not. Lots of phishing, yes.
Either someone has been doing a heck of a dictionary attack, or one of
the infections we've seen has scored a copy of the GAL.
I hate users having local admin privileges...

Will this new connector be overridden by the default RC, which
settings that covers the range? That is, will I have to pare down the
address ranges on the default RC to allow the new one to operate and
accept my exceptions for the unauth RC?

I have seen a huge increase in spam getting through that is a embedded graphic
followed by a whole bunch of random words. Obviously to get around some

Pretty sure these are all part of the 'Managed Availability' that is built in
now. As far as I can see, they pretty much took all the stuff that was in
previous SCOM management packs and built it into Exchange.

We use MS hosted services on the front end and just finished FOPE to EOP
conversion one week ago.
Not a "big" uptick in user reports, but we do see Spam still getting through
even with EOP per user reports.
I was hoping EOP would be better, but the spammers seem to find ways around
this.
