For 40 users, I would seriously consider using exmerge to pst for mailboxes. Use Outlook to export public folders to .pst. As you probably know, there is no direct upgrade path from 5.0. It requires 5.5 sp3 minimum. I see you are looking at moving to 5.5 first in your path, but now your are
