WINS is your problem by the sound of things. If it was set up properly in
the first place there will be static mappings in WINS which reference the
MAC address and old IP address of the box in question. Delete these entries
and It'll probably fix it. Any dynamic entries need to be tombstoned.
If you insist on moving to Windows 2000 that way, you will make your
migration to Exchange 2000 all the more difficult.

why we are just upgrading to Active Directory first with out upgrading our
Exchange 5.5

our corporate office. When I try to ping the new servers by their NetBios
name from a remote BDC, it times out. When it tries to ping, it is pinging

Check the network settings on your Exchange box to make sure its not the

My priv.edb file is approx. 5.2 Gig. So I still have 10 Gig or so? At
one point I heard that it was a combination of a couple files. What is
the priv.stm file? Does it effect the size of my store? It is 4.5
Gig...

ourdomain.co.uk to recipient

You can export to a delimited text file. I assume Netscape will import
that. Check your text file and make sure that all of the relevent data,
especially the dates, appear before you proceed.
