The number of transaction logs being created on one of my Exchange servers(E2k sp3)
has increased quite a bit recently. For this
installation, the total trans log size was under 1 gig every day until a few weeks
back and now is between 4-5 gig.

There is no such option in backup packages, including NTBACKUP, I've worked with. If
you perform a full (normal) or incremental backup, the backup program purges the logs.
If you perform a differential or copy backup, the log
