Check the links below for some more info on the /3GB switch. It is intended
for W2K Advanced Server and W2K Datacenter Server, except for some special
circumstances. User mode is still limited to 2 GB when this switch is used
on W2K Server.

I had this same problem just this
week.
In the Event Viewer (not sure which log,
system,application,etc..) I had a lot of errors saying that the exchange server
did not belong to the Exchange Domain Servers group. Exchange kept trying to add
the computer account to the group but failed.
