Andrew, Check the links below for some more info on the /3GB switch. It is intended for W2K Advanced Server and W2K Datacenter Server, except for some special circumstances. User mode is still limited to 2 GB when this switch is used on W2K Server.

I have seen this too, though not as frequently. Event messages seem to be non existent as to when or why, although I haven't had it happen recently, and it did definitely happen more prior to ESP1. Currently running W2K+SP2+E2K+ESP1. Right now, more often then the exchange store dismounting

I had this same problem just this week. In the Event Viewer (not sure which log, system,application,etc..) I had a lot of errors saying that the exchange server did not belong to the Exchange Domain Servers group. Exchange kept trying to add the computer account to the group but failed.
