Hi All,
we are in a process of migrating from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. On
Exchange 2003 side we have a SSL certificate to access mails from outside and
synch mobile phones. On Exchange 2007 side we have only a self signed
certificate. Some migrated users can now synchronize the mobile

For some reason our list server got listed in spamcop.
I run a Lyris server, too. Twice in the past year and a half it's been listed

I would say its extremely likely. Thanks for posting your

lot of people who arent familiar with the way many spam trap-based
DNSBLs operate.

I used the various articles on MSExchange.org.
Hello -
I am re-evaluating my backup options to replace my current tape solution as it
is rapidly running out of space. In my situation i am trying to backup
150GB-200GB. Is everyone using tape still or have some made the jump to
disk-to-disk? Maybe using an off-site backup like iron
Using nothing but 2 TB external USB drives for backup storage. Very
inexpensive, easy to grow and reconfigure. Simple script to copy the backups to
a remote building once a week. If we didn't have remote buildings I would copy
them to an Iron Mountain.

We've been talking about disaster recovery (e.g., what if our office
burns down) and what we need to do to be sure we have offsite backups.
We've considered two options: 1) digital vaulting using a service like
Vault Logix and 2) putting a backup device in our colo and backing up
to that
Tivoli in use here, with Disk2Disk2Tape - LTO3 on the back end.
However, Exchange is by far not our largest backup, at only about
70gbytes. Our file server at over 2tbytes is the kingpin.

Has anyone else run in to this issue? Internal external mails are being
dropped because we have apparently filled up the Quota for Named Properties or
Replica Identifiers for one of our DB’s?
The solutions we are finding say to either raise the limits with a reg hack and

I've got a user who's mailbox was migrated from 2k3 to 2k7 while his Out of
Office was set, and now he can't turn it off.
Anyone seen this before?

try running a /cleanrules (after exporting the existing ones). We've had
issues where the rules got corrupted after the 07 migration.

2007 and 2003 have the same default quotas for named props.
I recommend the reg hack; we did years ago, as part of our standard build, from
16K to 24K. You’ll want to figure out where all the headers are coming, from
too…
Onestopbaitshop… nice… looks like you may need to improve your antispam
There is a transport sink on codeplex for Exchange Server 2007 which can strip
the headers. If you can’t locate it, let me know.

named props are handled better in sp1 than previous versions
you can use mfcmapi to dump the named props table and try and see
where they are coming from

Wow, where to begin... You have two migrations there. AD and Exchange.
R U using a new box and moving over to it and retiring the old?
Do you have any temporary hardware to get a good online AD server running.
How much experience do you have on managing servers in an AD environment?
Anyone
