Ouch.
I would call that out as definitely unexpected behavior.

Because it's convenient for people to have so that they can print out
a copy before coming to the meeting?

Do you mean that the AV substituted a different snmp.exe than the
native OS version, or that the AV truncated the native executable, or
something else?

I've seen the articles about changing the reg key in outlook 2010 to allow
direct booking.
My question is, if MS changed this in outlook 2010 what process should users
use to function like direct booking?

Ah! I see. Thanks for the clarification.

Good advice... And I want to say thanks for all the really good advice you

Still a noob at Exchange 2010, but could he do a disaster recovery of the

AD has to be manually edited. To the best of my knowledge, no Exchange MVP or
Microsoft person or other person has published how to do that. It's dangerous.
Back to my initial recommendation: My recommendation to you at this point would
be to call PSS/CSS.

Ok, further updates on this. After deleting datastores, I also retired the
disk space associated with those datastores. One of these was the i:\ drive. I
brought the server back up and tried to remove other programs, and also had
problems. It seems that it wanted a temp folder on the i:\ drive

I highly recommend Acronis' Disk Director Server, and their backup/imaging

For an organization of normal size that already has a PKI, it's not a big deal.
If you don't have a PKI, you need to deploy that first.
For an organization the size of the Navy - well, I'd want to be a bit more
careful. :-P

Just curious if anyone is using IRM with Exchange 2010 and how involved it is
to setup/deploy.
Thanks in advance!

get-mailbox -resultsize unlimited | Get-MailboxFolderStatistics -folderscope
calendar | Sort-Object FolderSize -Descending | select

| export-csv c:\transfer\calendar_stats.csv
