Hi all,
Is there a method in Exchange 2003 of blocking all INTERNAL E-mails?
We would still want to allow external e-mail in and out but want to stop
users sending e-mails to each other!
Strange I know but it is part of a potential experiment by our MD!
Cheers
Dave

You haven't said whether you've tried the obvious solution of logging off and
on again to refresh the authentication.
However, cached mode can give strange behaviour: consider a mailbox that
Exchange reports as below limit, where Outlook (in cached mode) said he
couldn't send email, and indeed
Yes.
And the random time is commonly when an OAB update is checked for. Does a
restart (either of the laptop or of Outlook) not resolve the situation?

Restarting Outlook seems intermittent at best - my user today said she had the

Security is often set incorrectly on the OAB folder. Either fix it, or recreate
it.
But I wouldn't do that until I _know_ it's the problem. There are impacts.

Shouldn't that be a problem that would/should affect everyone though, not just
random people at random times - that's the bit that's odd about it.
I'd appreciate any info or a KB link on what I should be checking.

why it would only occasionally manifest itself.
