Disable FBA in Exchange, then run IISRESET from a command prompt.
Back in Exchange, enable FBA again and run IISRESET once more. That should give
you the login page.

Thanks Simon, generating a self signed cert solved my SSL issue.
However when I go to https://owa.econalive.com/exchange, it doesn't

There is no switch for SSL, you can't turn it on an off.
You have two options only.
1. The certificate installed on the web server (or not)
2. The setting require SSL enabled or not.
However option 2 doesn't stop SSL from working. It simply means that IIS will

Thanks to all for the input. Since it was one user, and I was able to restore
his mailbox from backup, we are going to chalk it up to a fluke. But I will be
wary of these things from here on out :)
Thanks again,

You also need an SSL certificate.
FBA isn't available on HTTP only by default (I think there is a hack, but I

Why did you enable anonymous access? You shouldn't have that enabled either.

We had similar with an iPhone and syncing with Ex2k3, all the contact

down to iTunes being set to sync contacts and the iPhone set to sync
contacts and they both clashed. So we stopped iTunes syncing contacts

It sounds like the phone re-synced completely and the calendar did not sync.
Have the user delete the mail config and re-add it.
Depending on the size of the mailbox and how much they decided to sync,
this can take awhile over 3G.

I tech-reviewed that article. It's accurate. Neil Hobson is a good author (and
he now works for Microsoft UK), as is Henrik Walther, as is Jaap Wesselius, as

Hi Paul
There shouldn't be any major impact on your users except for possibly deploying
the HW load balance when the DNS is updated. You might want to consider
investigating reducing the TTL on those records or the zone just to speed up
the process a bit.

We currently have a single multi-role Exchange 2010 SP1 box running as a VM.
Early next year I'd like to add a second server to give us a two server DAG,
and a hardware load balancer.
Given I already have a working production server, just how much impact on my
users is this likely to cause?

That answer hasn't changed. You've gotta roll-your-own with FIM and/or with
