RE: Lync client doesn't work over DA?

2012-07-12 Thread Beckers, Shawn (IT Services)
If all you're using Lync for is IM, have you considered integrating Lync into Outlook Web App? That way you don't need to mess around with edge servers, DA, UAG, etc. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg420962.aspx -Original Message- From: Kurt Buff

Dang - We're on Exchange 2003 - plan is to upgrade to 2010 soonish, but no definite date. Plus, we're contemplating opening our Lync to audio and video conferencing for our sales and tech support folks at some point as well, so we'll either need to put up an edge server or publish via UAG, or

RFC 5233 Support?

2012-07-12 Thread Jason Gurtz
RFC 5233 describes a feature where, for example, mail sent to me+my...@example.com would be delivered to m...@example.com. Essentially, the behavior is to ignore (but retain) a plus symbol and all characters after it in the local-part of the email address (as defined in RFC 5322) This RFC was

Public folder Replication

Ok so I have a new Exchange server 2007, the last thing to move over from the old E2k7 server is Public Folders, the Replication started last Friday, is there an easy way to make sure that all replication is done, or do I have to compare each folder one by one, to make sure it's all replicated

Yea, I was reading about that and I think my buddy actually discovered this feature there. I also read how periods in the local part are ignored. e.g. mea...@example.com == me.an...@example.com == me.a.n@example.com etc... if example.com is on Google apps. An interesting but maybe less useful
