Hi All,
I have a really really annoying problem. I am trying to add an SMTP address to a user,
but whenever I add it, it tells me it is already in use in the organisation.
If I search AD I can't find anyone using that address and if I send an email to the
address it tells me that the user has

Hi All,
One of my users has asked if it's possible to insert the current date into an email
message using a hotkey sequence. I've searched around and can't find anything, does
anyone know if this is possible?
Cheers
Jez.

This is probably a really easy one to answer, but I recently changed to native mode on
my Exchange 2000 Server. Since doing this I have started to receive the following
messages in my event logs:-
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSADC.
Event Category: LDAP Operations
Event ID:
have the ADC now that you're in
native mode? It's only used when 5.5 is present.

Hi All,
We are thinking about renaming our Exchange 2000 Server. I just want to know if anyone
has done this, and if so are there any guides out there we could use?

Hi All,
We have had the situation recently were a user has received email that was not
addressed to him, CC'd or BCC'd. The user it was intended for got the message no
problem, but it also went to the other user as well. This is quite a worrying thing,
is there anything that could cause this
any other Systems using your Exchange server to send mail? We
experienced a similar problem using Goldmine.

We run Exchange 2000, I was just trying to get peoples opinions about backing up
Individual Mailboxes. We backup the DB using Veritas Backup Exec, but we also backup
the individual mailboxes as well, is this necessary or can we just backup the DB?
Many Thanks

Hi,
This is probably a really dumb question but what are your recommendations for running
the ESEUTIL utility on Exchange 2000 systems. With Christmas coming up it seems like
the perfect time to run it, and do a Defrag on the DB's

Can anyone tell me if Exchange 2000 keeps an Archive of all SMTP mail in

There is probably a really simple answer to this problem. When we used
to run Exchange 5.5 we could log when an SMTP mail was sent and received
in the event log.
Is this function in Exchange 2000 and if so where do I turn it on?
Cheers

Nope, just tried it and it has no effect, it just resolves it back to
the Exchange server name, and resolves the users name
