I'm looking for a free/inexpensive backup solution (other than the built in
windows server backup) that will back up Exchange 2007.
What tools do you all use? Any recommendations or backup utils to steer clear
from?

I am re-evaluating my backup options to replace my current tape solution
as it is rapidly running out of space. In my situation i am trying to
backup 150GB-200GB. Is everyone using tape still or have some made the
jump to disk-to-disk? Maybe using an off-site backup

Using nothing but 2 TB external USB drives for backup storage. Very
inexpensive, easy to grow and reconfigure. Simple script to copy the
backups to a remote building once a week. If we didn't have remote
buildings I would copy them to an Iron Mountain

Tivoli in use here, with Disk2Disk2Tape - LTO3 on the back end.
However, Exchange is by far not our largest backup, at only about
70gbytes. Our file server at over 2tbytes is the kingpin.
