File Types

2001-12-11 Thread MHR(Michael Ross)
Title: Message I know Ive asked this before, but I dont think anyone had a clear answer.   Id like to find software that will scan the file TYPE and not Extention name and filter accordingly. Currently we use NAV for Exchange. We can filter by extention, but why cant we filter by file type?

exmerge certain file types

2002-06-27 Thread Mike Cosca
Does any one know if I can use exmerge to delete out items of a particular file type.  I want to be able to pull out *.mp3 regardless of subject name or attachment name.   I see exmerge version 6 has subject and attachment name options, but will it take wildcards?   E2K SP2 on windows 2

Blocking Specific File Types in Exchange

2002-02-04 Thread Jim Brinksma
How can you block specific file types at the email server so that they do not reach the end users?  For example if a script is sent as an attachment, how can I configure it to delet the attachment before reaching the end user? We are running Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2K.  Thanks in advance.--Jim
