Tivoli offers a special client/agent for backing up Exchange servers.
It is a separate license. We are still on Exchange 2003, but I can
report that the TSM agent definitely
I can't speak to Tivoli, but it's untrue that Windows 2008 Backup will damage
the database if done in the cluster environment.

We've done test restores of our databases, and the timings would be roughly
equivalent to this!
What I'm wondering is how others back up the server itself - OS, Exchange
Server application, drives etc. to enable fastest recovery
What is your RTO and how large are your databases?
