Yeah go with the exmerge. It works with 5.5 or 2000 so it really doesn't matter, I thought you were upgrading to e2k. But exmerge is the safest way to do it. In Exmerge there's actually a one step process that you could try if you have admin permissions on both boxes and servers. Otherwise do the

If you are in SBS you do not have many users. I would consider using the Exmerge utility to create .pst files of each mailbox, then reinstall the server as you wish with Exchange5.5 on Windows2000 and reimport the .pst files into new mailboxes. I do not know anything about your domain
