Hi again (some ten minutes since I wrote you a thankyou letter :)
I ran sndconfig again, autoconfigured and looked at isapnp.conf. DMA is set to 0

To try Speakfreely (7.0) and see if I could get it to work properly i ran

To use full-duplex, you must set your Sound card DMA on two different
channels.
By the way, Speakfreely 7 is out.

Because of the export restrictions, please upload it to 151.189.96.131.

You have write access to /incoming.

Try kernelcfg-0.5-6mdk.i586.rpm

Currently, you have to be careful where you put this stuff, because of
crypto laws.
I'm waiting for the final response of the Canadian government on this
issue, but so far it looks like I could create a crypto-mandrake archive.
Probably next week.
Stay tuned.

Hi there!
Due to very frequent crashes of Netscape and friends (Mail, Composer), I've
downgraded from 4.60 to 4.08. Looks like at least the 'Composer Insert Link' crash
doesn't occur any more (yeaahhh! :-).

Almost definately a corrupted RPM file. Doesn't happen with the ones on
the server.
I noticed a problem with the mandrake upgrade util when trying to
downgrade mandrake (a very nice util btw). After it downloaded the 4.51
netscape rpm's and tried to install them it gave the error that they
were too old and didn't do anything (ie they weren't installed).
Furthermore, when I remove

I found an issue with the 2.2.9-27mdk kernel.
I installed the RPM and recomplied the kernel with the same settings

Anyone have that issue?

Hello!
I wanna upgrade to 2.2.9-27mdk with
rpm -i --percent kernel-2.2.9-27mdk.i586.rpm
I got this error:

unpacking of archive failed: cpio: Bad magic
I got same error with kernel-source package:

Hmmm.. I don't see a problem in your config...
Do you have access to a BBS? If so, try to connect using minicom and
download a file with Zmodem. I just want to see if the problem is with
ppp or serial driver...
