The MX record is the mail server that handles the mail for the domain (@domain.com). I usually setup a mailhost.domain.com reference to the IP address of the mail server the has the user names for the domain. Then I put mailhost.domain.com into the MX record. The MX record should only reference

Make sure all the services are running. Make sure all the IP addresses are initialized. Can you ping the IP's? I have had a situation where not all IP's were active when the server boots. When you install PHP, you should learn to build it instead of use RPM's. MySQL is okay using the RPM's. Check
