Or just edit /etc/group. It's so easy that the GUI could only make it
harder (which is why I've never used one for this).

I cannot seem to get KSCD to load CDDB info under MDK 7.1.
Anyone have it working?
With the default, I get an "error getting cddb entry"
message when inserting a new CD. However, when I try
to update the servers list, I get an "unable to get
cddb server list" message. (It does not help that th
Try using LinuxConf and let me know what happens.
Hope that works,

Thanks to all those that responded (both on the
list and privately)!
I agree that the M$ keyboards feel fairly good,
but I want a normal keyboard because I switch
around from time to time. When I end up on one
of the split-hand M$ keyboards I can barely type.
Don't want to end up that way with a
I did it for a relative. Recompiled the kernel to add the support and it came

Hello all,
I'm wondering if anyone has successfully installed the Promise Ultra 66 IDE
RAID card under Mandrake Linux and if so, did you use the setup files
provided for RedHat or were there other drivers required?
Thanks

The setup was very simple. The software comes in a rpm.
Just init 3 to shutdown X and rpm -i to install.
Create a link to the xConfig program that gets installed once X is back up
and your good to go.

HI,
Has anyone configure Linux mandrake 7.1 in a Flex ATX board sucessfully
specially modem and sound?
If you have can you please help me
thank you.
Dave.
I use the Metro-X server. I don't really do anything graphic intensive so I
cannot tell you about speed. I DO feel the added control over resolution,
refresh rate and easy config tool are worth the money.
I have not checked it out with XFree 4.0 yet.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
does any of you used successfully a Metro-X enhanced server?.
If so, how's support, and what 'bout performance?.
Is it really a improvement over xfree?

Currently running latest version of Mandrake and am trying to add groups
to selected users so that I can then give seleted users access to
restricted directories.
As root using KDE's user function (add, edit, delete) I select a user,
tag the group tab and add the desired group. when I exit it p
The highest performance (and GPL'd) is EJBBoss, the URL slips my mind at
the moment. It's current weaknesses are no support for clustering (coming).

I just built a new system, which happens to be 100%
