I have something of a major problem on my web server... (mdk7.2)
I run Mandrake Update on that box and selected the apache rpm's for
update...
it installed them, and that was the end of my web server...
when I try to start apache, I get lots of PASSED messages and nothing in the
log
I have a CD-RW and a DVD that do not automount on boot up. The directories
got created during install but no mounting. I also had to put modprobe
sg in the rc.local file for the SCSI emulation to work on the CD-RW. Is
this a known problem or something I need to do differently in the setup?

on Pad tracks; but it was on... I burned two sets of CDs and other than the

Check your errorlog for httpd. In mine, the problem was bad (changed) permissions for
/var/log/httpd.

gave an error about missing jdk, so I went looking for it in packagemanager,
