I was unable to get connection sharing to work with 9.0, and suspected that shorewall was the culprit. I browsed through the documentation at http://www.shorewall.net/FAQ.htm#faq15 which led me to check the configuration in /etc/shorewall/masq. I changed eth0192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0
